As we grow in our knowledge of God, our response should be in awe of Him as we bow down and worship Him. We kneel in pursuit of God, kneel in repentance, or kneel in submission. Realizing that we all will bow down either now or later.
There comes a point in our life where we not only worship God with our minds, but we connect with God from the depths of our soul as we pour out our hearts to God. As we pour out our hearts to God we remember God has always been faithful in the past, knowing He is good in the present and therefore we can trust Him with our future.
The wise men traveled over 900 miles so that they could come and worship the King. As they worshiped Him with tremendous joy in their heart, they opened up the best of what they had as they gave it to Jesus. Giving is an act of worship that is driven by love. We love, because God first loved us.
Lifting up our hands before a holy God is a posture of worship. Throughout Scripture we see examples of people lifting up hands as they worship God. Why is it that God wants us to lift our hands to him? We come to worship God as we lift up holy hands as we surrender and draw near to God, as we praise His name, as we do battle and find victory in God.
