About us
Who We Are & What We Do
our mission
Our mission is to make disciples who love God deeply, love one another authentically, and love our neighbors sacrificially, to the glory and praise of God.
Our Beliefs
-
We believe the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are authoritative and sufficient for all things pertaining to life and godliness (2 Timothy 3:14-17; 2 Peter 1:3-4, 19-21).
-
We believe there is only one living and true God, Creator of heaven and earth, who eternally exists in three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Genesis 1, 2; Exodus 3:14, 20:1, Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:18-20).
-
We believe God created men and women in his own image to glorify Him. Therefore, all people have inherent dignity, value, and worth (Genesis 1:26-27; Psalm 8:3-6).
-
We believe all humanity is sinful by both birth and action, and the deserved penalty for sin is death (Psalm 51:5; Romans 3:23, 6:23; Ephesians 2:1-3).
-
We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, was born of a virgin, and is both fully God and fully human (Matthew 1:18-23; John 1:1-18; Philippians 2:5-11; Colossians 1:13-22).
We believe Jesus Christ died on the cross as the sacrificial substitute to pay the penalty for sin (Romans 3:25; 2 Corinthians 5:21; 1 Peter 3:18).
We believe Jesus Christ physically rose from the dead, ascended into heaven, and will one day physically return (Acts 1:9-11; 1 Corinthians 15:1-8).
-
We believe salvation is a gift from God, not a result of one’s doing. Only by grace through faith in Jesus Christ will one receive forgiveness of sins and Christ’s imputed righteousness that provides reconciliation to God and eternal life with Him (2 Corinthians 5:18-19; Ephesians 2:8-10).
-
We believe there will be a future physical resurrection of the dead. Only those who turn from sin and to Jesus in faith and repentance will be raised to eternal reward. Those who do not turn from sin and to Jesus will be raised to eternal punishment (1 Corinthians 15:24-28, 35-58; Revelation 20:1-22:13).
