Romans: Purpose and Character of Prayer

After having shared in the nature of his ministry, Paul now shared with the church in Rome his travels plans. Knowing the challenges ahead, Paul appeals to the Christians in Rome to struggle in prayer with him so that by God’s will he will be able to be with them, building them up in the gospel and them supporting him in gospel work. From this appeal, we learn the purpose and character of prayer.
