Elder/Lead Pastor

Neil Grobler serves as the Lead Pastor of Forest Park. He was born and raised in Johannesburg, South Africa. He came to the U.S on a tennis scholarship to Liberty University where he graduated and met his wife.  Neil is passionate about God and leadership and love seeing peoples lives be radically changed by the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Neil is married to Christine and have a little  girl, Claire.  Both enjoy the outdoors, playing tennis, and golfing.


Worship Leader

Ryan Carson serves as our Worship Leader. Ryan is originally from Rapid City, South Dakota. He attended The University of Wyoming in Laramie, where he received his degree in Music Performance. With a heart for people and worship, Ryan is impassioned about music, but more importantly about authentic worship in God’s presence. He believes worship should be our natural response to an encounter with God. "Worship is about total surrender, faithful obedience and following the Holy Spirit’s leading. It’s not about an atmosphere, it’s about a relationship based encounter with the one true God" In his down time Ryan enjoys spending time with his wife Angie, daughters Allyson and Brooke, and their son Luke. He is a lover of the outdoors and enjoys camping, shooting, smoking meat and anything to do with musical gear and AV equipment. Ryan also serves in the United States Air Force and is stationed at Joint-Base Anacostia Bolling in Washington, DC.

Chuck Johnson serves as an Elder on the board at Forest Park and leads a life group.  He has been married to his wife, Susan, since 1988.  They are parents to two married adult children and one teenage son, Christian who is active in student ministries at the church.  Chuck and Susan moved to Waldorf in 2005 after a lifetime of living in Alabama.  Chuck works for National Council For Adoption, while Susan is a school nurse at Grace Academy.  In his spare time, Chuck enjoys working in the yard and around the house and is a passionate fan of the Auburn Tigers football team.



John Hayter serves as an Elder on our board at Forest Park. He was born in Portsmouth, VA and born into a rich Navy Heritage. He has a Bachelor’s Degree from Virginia Tech, a Masters in Business Administration from Marymount University, and is currently working on his Seminary degree through Liberty University. He met his wife Barb in college. They have one son Zach who is married and living in Ohio. He currently works for the Department of Defense as a Program Manager at the Naval Air Systems Command in Patuxent River.  John is very passionate about serving God, teaching the Bible, and discipling those around him. He enjoys golf, fishing, and yard sales.



Andy Reyndols serves as an Elder on our board at Forest Park. He was born and raised here in Southern Maryland. He has a Bachelors Degree from Frostburg State University in Computer Technology (Geek Speak).  He met his wife Stacey at a middle school dance, began dating her as a Senior in High School, and they married after college. They have 6 awesome children, Addy, Drew, Lyla, Lucy, Tabitha and Thomas. He currently works as a Tech Support for an electrical contractor in the area. He is passionate about family, relationships, outdoor live, conservation through farming, camping and breathing fresh air.


Office Administrator

Dee Smith is our Office Administrator at Forest Park. She oversees all of the day-to-day business of the Church offices and accounting. She is a very dynamic worker that is capable of just about anything she puts her mind to. If something needs to be done, she finds a way to do it. Dee also oversees our Nursery Ministry and loves working with babies & toddlers. She is a graduate of Troy University in Alabama where she met her husband, Robert Smith. They have three young adult children, Justin, Rebecca, and Paige. She enjoys spending time with her family and photography.


Children’s Ministry Director

Betsy Heishman serves as our Children’s Ministry Director. She was born and raised in the state of Maryland, and met her husband during high school. She currently spends her time as a homeschooling mother to her two teenage kids, Dylan and Brooke. She is passionate about working with children to help them develop their beliefs at an early age. She is also passionate about growing in her own walk with Jesus and helping others around her to do the same. She enjoys spending her time camping and doing outdoor activities with friends and family.
